comida-GAc A formula is a lysine free and tryptophan low special infant formula. Its amino acid profile is close to that of human milk protein (except for lysine and tryptophan). comida-GAc A formula contains long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCP), particularly important for a healthy development of newborns and young infants. comida-GAc A formula is supplemented with vitamins, minerals and trace elements according to current international recommendations.
comida-GAc A formula is to be used in the dietary treatment of infants with Glutaric Aciduria Type I (Glutaryl-Co A dehydrogenase deficiency).

The daily amount of comida-GAc A formula needed to supplement the daily protein requirements (other than lysine and tryptophan), depends on age, body weight and individual tolerance for these amino acids. The dose of comida-GAc A formula is to be determined by a physician and must be adjusted regularly. The daily amount required should be divided into 3 to 5 single portions and should be taken mixed with calculated amounts of other food (e.g. breast milk or standard infant formula). Diets with comida-GAc A formula must contain adequate amounts of energy, essential fatty acids and lysine and tryptophan to meet daily requirements.
